MICHAEL RUIZ-DEL-VIZO

Michael Ruiz-del-Vizo is a Queer, Cuban-American Scenic designer based in New York and Miami. Michael earned their B.F.A. in Production Design with a concentration in Scenic Design and Art Direction from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Michael is a designer for theater, opera, and dance, who strives to develop bold and challenging new work whose stories engage with design as an integral part of the storytelling process.

Michael enjoys cooking, drag, stand-up comedy, podcasts, and audiobooks.​

Michael is a proud member of Local USA 829 and Wingspace Theatrical Design, and a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University.
